Mount Saint Vincent University

These are the arms of Mt. St. Vincent University. These arms were the first grant to contain a double tressure erably-counter-erably (ie, set with alternating maple leaves, as opposed to the fleur-de-lys of the normal Scottish double tressure). The three crescents are taken from the arms of the Seton ancestors of the founder of the university , while the blue and gold colour scheme is taken from the arms of Royal France, as the founder was French. The motto (not shown) reads, "Truth leads to God", while the crest is a heavenly dove (signifying peace and divinity).
