One of my favourite organizations:
IAESTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) This is a great non-profit organization which connects students (mostly science and engineering students in their third or fourth year) in one country with jobs in another country. If you are such a student (or an employer who would hire such a student) I strongly encourage you to look into it!
Another thing I do a lot is complain about Canadian politicians. If you feel about them as strongly as I do, why not try faxing them?
