The City of Quinte West, Ont.

Quint West is a new municipality, derived from the amalgamation of Trenton, Frankford, Sidney, and Murray. The four loyolist coronets (crowns with alternating maple leaves (Canada) and oak leaves (Britain)) represent the four municipalities; the colour scheme (red-white-blue) is reminiscient of the Union Jack (the use of red as a background is reminiscient of the red ensign). The blue and white bits represent the Trent river flowing into the Bay of Quinte. Not shown are the supporters (a beaver (industry and Canada) and a horse (agriculture)) and the crest (a winged demi-lion waving the flag of the city (with the arms removed for clarity).
